Established in 1963, Sainik School Tilaiya is one of the premier Sainik Schools in India, managed by the Sainik Schools Society, Ministry of Defence. The school’s primary aim is to prepare students for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other officer cadres of the Armed Forces, while also imparting excellent academics, discipline, and leadership qualities.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
For Class 6 Admission
- Both Boys & Girls are eligible.
- Age should be between 10 to 12 years as on 31st March 2025.
- Should have passed/appearing in Class 5 from a recognized school.
For Class 9 Admission
- Both Boys & Girls are eligible.
- Age should be between 13 to 15 years as on 31st March 2025.
- Should have passed/appearing in Class 8 from a recognized school.

- Admission is through the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exam (AISSEE) conducted by NTA.
- Candidates must register online through the NTA AISSEE official website.
- Written Exam followed by Medical Examination & Document Verification.
- Final merit list is prepared based on performance in AISSEE and medical fitness.
